Hubby was talking to his friend back in Washington. I was trying to ignore because the guy is just an idiot. This evening just further proved this fact.

I'm not exactly sure how it started, probably hubby starting to get him going. But they started talking about Mt Reinier and Mt St Helens. Now, as most of you may know, Reinier is East of Seattle and Mt St Helens is a little north east of Portland, Vancouver, WA and Battle Ground. That's a fact. The idiot then started in on how St Helens was north of Reinier. For at least a minute. Even claiming the he had taken a plane or helecopter ride over one of them. I then took our atlas to my hubby opened to Western Washington and pointed to both. Hubby then said that he was looking at the map and, yes, Reinier was indeed north of St Helens. Idiot then pretended that he wasn't proven wrong again, started asking about what mountian was south of that, or something like that. The answer is Mt Hood, of course, in Oregon. Idiot then said that when Mt Hood explodes it's going to directly affect us, here in WV. How, I've not the clue.

Course, this is the same idiot that claims that you can drive your boat around the tip of Florida and be on the west coast and that the Ohio River flows north to Pittsburgh.

Needless to say, I'm in serious need of hitting idiot with the atlas until I feel better.

This just happened today, but I'll have to give a background first.

Hubby went back to Washington for a couple weeks last month and my mom came to stay with me so I'd have company. Before he left, he asked a relative of mine, Gary, if he'd mow our lawn when he mowed the yard of the farmhouse across the street, while hubby was gone, because the lawnmower had stopped working. Gary said that he would. Nothing more was thought about it.

My next door neighbor, B, who is nice enough, decided all on his own to mow my yard within a week of hubby leaving, even after hubby had mentioned that Gary would be mowing. Mom and I had gone to town for something and was walking the dogs right after coming home. I noticed that part of the yard had been mowed, and was wondering why. We were walking back to the house when B putts up and says to my mom, who happened to be ahead of me at the bottom of the stairs into my house, the he had started mowing but something happened to the wheel of the mower but will finish when it's fixed. Mom said ok and he leaves. He finished a day or two later.

A week or so later, he shows up at the door and asked when I wanted him to mow the yard again. My face was neutral, or at least that's what it felt to me, and I told him that he didn't have to mow. He shrugs and leaves.

As I've said, B is nice enough, but he has tools on the brain. I have no interest in tools. He has more tools then he can use in a lifetime. Seriously. He has 5-10 of the same thing because it has a different design on the handle. :/ Every time he comes over, it's guaranteed that it's a 2 hour visit talking about tools and the same stories of his past over and over again. When we first moved here, I sat and listened and talked when he came over but quickly tired of staring into space with glazed eyes so stopped joining in and would go in the other room and do something else.

Prime example is yesterday. He brings over a big bowl of beenie weenies for us. Apparently his wife's friend and her hubby had a picnic, or something, and there was leftovers and they were sick of beenie weenies already. He and hubby are in the kitchen talking about whatever and I'm in the living room doing a cross stitch. After an hour B says that he needs to head back home, hubby stands up to walk him to the door, B starts talking about something else. Hubby sits back down and it's another hour before they go out the door. It's then almost half an hour of talking outside before B leaves and goes back home.

Back to the story at hand. My grandpa's brother (that'd make him a great uncle?), P, arrived yesterday at the farmhouse. The farmhouse, as well as the place where hubby and I live, was part of my great grandparents property and P comes up once a month for about 3 days during the spring and summer to check on the place, ect.

Oh, not sure if this is imperative to the story or not, but neighbor is very distantly related to me. :)

Hubby and I noticed that neighbor is talking to P earlier today. Don't think anything about it. This evening, after P returns from supper, Hubby and I walk over to chat. After a few minutes of talking, P mentions something about someone not liking help with the mowing. On to other subjects. Towards the end of this evenings visit, back to the mowing. He mentions that you need to be nice to neighbors if your going to live somewhere for any length of time, or something like that, not offending them, blah blah blah.

What confuses me is why B felt the need to run off and tattle to P like a 5 year old and, apparently, telling him that I offended him by telling him that he didn't need to mow and have P chastise me. Hubby and I think that B wanted to mow so he can say he did and get one of hubby's tools as payment. Could be wrong. :)
Little Susie was not the best student in Catholic School. Usually she slept through the class. One day her teacher, a Nun, called on her while she was sleeping.

'Tell me Susie, who created the universe?' When Susie didn't stir, little Johnny who was her friend sitting behind her, took his pencil and jabbed her in the rear.

'God Almighty!' shouted Susie The Nun said, 'Very good' and continued teaching her class.

A little later the Nun asked Susie, 'Who is our Lord and Savior?' But Susie didn't stir from her slumber. Once again, Johnny came to her rescue and stuck her in the butt. 'Jesus Christ!!!' shouted Susie.

And the Nun once again said, 'Very good,' and Susie fell back asleep. The Nun asked her a third question...'What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?' Again, Johnny came to the rescue. This time Susie jumped up and shouted,'If you stick that thing in me one more time, I'll break it in half!' The nun fainted.
